My inspiration comes from looking at nature predominantly. At the present time I am fascinated by reflections in water, shadows, clouds, moods and atmosphere. I love nature, it gives me so much. I also like still life paintings and catching people as they seem unobserved, say reading or working. I do try to capture a feeling of stillness in my work, so needed today with its many difficulties. Teaching as well gives me great satisfaction, sharing my knowledge and seeing my students finding their own creativity and improving their techniques.
