Lavender 3 Ways/Textiles/36x30x22cm

My inspiration comes from various natural sources, from scenes within the landscape through to detailed observation of natural organic forms.

During this unusual year I have mainly explored nature with the contrasts in texture and the diversity that it provides, together with the feelings it evokes.

My research explores textiles, art and photography to give a fusion of styles to create a contemporary version embracing traditional and new techniques. I enjoy making handmade silk papers transforming them with other fabrics and techniques, together with the embellishment of machine embroidery and hand stitch work to form 3D and 2D pieces.

Workshops will be available to book by appointment after Open Studios.

I will be following government guidelines to keep people safe, during May everyone will be expected to wear a face mask, stay 2m apart and I will provide hand sanitizer before you enter the Open Studio. If there are too many visitors then, some may have to wait.
