This year I am focussing on a new dynamic modality which is a fast paced and instant expression of quick-fire images - often the human form - which flow onto the canvas intuitively after music and meditation. Colour and sound combine their frequencies to make this a truly resonant abstract art. I will be doing some fun, interactive workshops during Open Studios at Westridge Studio, call me on 07775 692947 if interested, or follow on Facebook.

I feel blessed to work in the field of photography, which is also my great passion. This year I have devoted my spare time to working on a personal project of 'Gender Neutral Drag'. I have been photographing Drag Artists on stage as well as offering studio sessions exploring their different characters with various outfits and incredible stage make-up. I hope my portfolio reflects maturity and emotional intelligence.
This year Shirley will be exhibiting her Glass and Jewellery at Westridge Studio. She continues to offer new and refreshing designs by pushing the boundaries in Kiln Formed Glass. By combining glass with delicate silverware, she creates both functional and decorative pieces. Shirley is a well-known glass artist and tutor who gladly shares her skills and creative energy. She is offering a glass fusing workshop at Westridge Studio on Wednesday 13 May 2-4pm. For more information and to book please contact the artist.

My work includes tapestry weaving, embroidery and some works on paper. I am interested in materials and process. The work deals partly with major global changes due to human intervention, whilst some pieces reflect a sense of becoming through the exploration of materials whether in textile or on paper. Photography of details of everyday things provides a contrasting complement to the art works.

I love working with printed images and mixed media - especially faces. I use deconstruction techniques to explore design, colour and the feelings they evoke. This is my first Open Studios Exhibition and I am excited to be joining in to the new energy of Westridge Studio and the Wednesday Workshops. If print is your thing, let's learn together - call me for workshop details.

For the last couple of years I have been exploring my love of printmaking combining it with experimental drawing. Making prints, books, and working with a jelli plate. I use plant material, blind embossing and chine collé. Throughout the year I exhibit and also run courses on experimental drawing, printing and book making.
