As a child I spent many months in and out of hospital and it was here that my passion for creativity started. I have been an artist now for over 40 years and gained a BA in Fine Art later in life. At first my work was serious and influenced by my personal history. I had a hiatus for a few years and the challenges took me away from what is my true essence. Thankfully, I have returned with a renewed passion and have relaxed into the joy of self-expression and allowed my work to evolve through my love for colour theory and nature.
I use a number of different techniques, such as textiles, drawing, oil painting and sculptural pieces. I am currently working in oils and silk painting, my main theme at this time is the beauty of trees.
